STRONGER YOUTH: Tools for Assessment and Peer Support for Young People

On 29th and 30th October last year, at TPM in presence held in Valencia, the project partners agreed on the various activities to be carried out in the following months.

After the first monitoring and coordination phase of the project, the “Online Skills Assessment Tool” (OSAT) was uploaded on the project website (https://strongeryouth.eu/). The aim is to evaluate the teenagers social skills, giving final feedbacks on what can be their level of self-knowledge.

The “Set of Tools” is another tool created for peer-mentoring support. It includes a collection of activities to be done among peers that works on two fronts: on the one hand, it strengthens personal and social competences of the mentors, on the other, it allows developing the skills of young people at risk of depression and social exclusion.

The purpose of these tools culminates in the piloting test that will be held in Palermo the next month and the recruitment of teenagers. In preparation for this occasion, a “Guide for Educators” was created to support their role as supervisors. Indeed, the peer learning method requires, at the same time, the support and careful monitoring by educators.

The “Guide for Educators”, “Set of Tools” and OSAT are available in all the languages of the partner countries (Spain, Portugal, Poland, Romania, Czech Republic).
